Same as me John, 3 birds at Eastbourne never been oot loft so need a couple of stretches.
Guest IB Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 Throwing towels and waving white flags spring to mind. After a bad knock at beginning of May, candidates for this race had reduced to 2 - then 1 after dropping 1 at Eastbourne. Was far from happy with condition that my 'last of the mohicans' came home in on the second morning from the Eastbourne race, but got her down again on eggs for Clermont. Tossed her yesterday afternoon with a mate, 65 miles, weather no too bad, his 3 got back in decent time, and mine came home tonight. Swithering (guid ol' Scots word ) on whether to let her sit for another year - she's a 2 y-o late bred with just one race as a yearling, and I've never managed to get one by 200 miles before. This ones gone 2 x that distance - so gut feeling is she's done enough , and she's telling me she's just no up for the channel this year. There's always next year .
Rooster J. Cogburn Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 Got 5 I'm tryin to get right for it. They've been left to the open loft since Eastbourne.Took 3 of them to Coldstream Monday,Tuesday the other 2 joined them there today. The weathers to be poor at the weekend I think but will try and get another couple of tosses under their belt. A doo I call "the Seagull" is catching my eye so he may end up in the team as well Hes had Coldstream,Coldstream(2),Otterburn,Witton Castle,Ripon,Wakefield,Newark,Leicester,Huntingdon,Eastbourne and Ypres but hes still no came as good as I think he can Dunno whether to put him past til next year or not

At 2yr old there is plenty of time for him so he may just sit 'til next year?????
