A wee bit off topic but how many Gold Award winners do yous know of that were clocked 5 times from the Kings Cup??

 

Am I right in saying Davy Elliot had one??

I know Jock & Hughie Reid had a hen that scored 5 years in a row from Rennes but that was before the Gold Award was aboot

lewis between you and john you could write a book on the snfc history it would be a great read

or just get something up on here during the winter months

I like to hear it all fi the old hands :)

 

Not many of them left now-a lot of the History and stories will die wi them :(

 

Cannae see Scottish national racing reaching those heights again anytime soon but we'll have to make do with whit we've got :D

me a bit of a nostalgia buff frank :D ,but there have been loads of great national winning doos over the years from all areas of scotland in the SNFC,and even these past few weeks we have new birds who will go on to be national legends.fantastic and always gets me going. :D :D :D

I believe James McCourt from around here had a Red Hen that done it 5 times from Rennes, i done a wee report on this pigeon for the SNFC Centenary book ( I think!!) but canny just mind the Exact details though 5 times from Rennes rings bells, memory is getting terrible

Doddie Ross of Aberdeen's 'Little Doddie' won a gold award for scoring 5 times from Rennes. I also think Jimmy Hamilton's 'Iron Lady' may have done the same but not 100% sure on that one.

Takes some doing-top class pigeons!!!

 

One of the best ever Rennes pigeons in my section has to be "Freckles" 12th,7th and 18th Open before she was killed by a hawk in Robert Cormack's back garden :(
