Anyone started training there young birds yet ?????

Yes I did. 2x on 2 miles, 3x on 5miles & 2x on 10miles. Yesterday after work, went for 13.9miles. Can't go any farther, it's getting dark. From the beginning, I started training my 15ybs, got still 15ybs.

Including the 2ybs from homestead. So far, So good. :egyptian::egyptian::egyptian:

Good Luck to everybody.:)

I hate training hopefully the changes to loft i'll make after old bird racing finishes will make it easier for next year ;)

Do you mind me asking old yellow what changes are going to be made to make it easier

im going to make traps / mini avairy's to fit my baskets manly for exiting and bathing and basketing , so ill open inside birds will think there going out and they'll be basketed ;) this will be done on all the lofts and also creating one central trapping area so one trap one ets pad and one entrance they'll use throughout there racing life's so no breaking them to another section required ;)

yeah that would make a big difference i think going in to catch all the young birds to go in the basket causes stress

saying that the more you handle them the tamer they become

you tame them from nest and by feeding by hand , there even tamer if you don't stress them by handing them ;)
