Guest TAMMY_1 Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 we have never done anything with our young birds such as darkness and widowhood or anything else,we just let them fly and grow naturally as nature intended and in doing so we hope that they mature stress free ,well as stress free as is possible

just ask me Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 just be careful doing anything like that as you can rev them up too much
dal2 Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 I split them asap after the darkness curtain is removed. I have a slidin door between the two sections which is opened on friday morn. The two sexs cannot see each other all week!
budgie Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 We split them at around 30 days old. When taken of the darkness they are allowed to pair up and we encourage it with a bale of straw.
