If a bird has a badly damaged flight, and the fancier decides to pull out the damaged flight, how long does it take for the bird to fully grow a new flight?

And what effect will this have on the bird, if any?

If the flight is broken then you can join it with another cut flight using a needle and super glue. Similar to joining two bits of wood with a dowel.I won Cheltenham with a yearling after doing this.
