It is the NEHU Open from Folkestone this Saturday (weather permitting)

The Up North Combine, New North Amalgamation. Durham Combine and the West Durham Amalgamation all up together - the weather is very iffy up here, but seems OK in the South, so it's anybodies guess as to whether the birds will be liberated early tomorrow - or heldover until Monday

Anybody like to have a wild guess as to how many birds in total there will be. I'd guess around the 27,000 mark - I don't think there will be as many as previous years

There was only 28,000 from all organisations last year :emoticon-0127-lipssealed:

a drop of 9,000 on the previous year

the birdage was low last year as the UNC held over until the Monday from Rivenhall the weekend before Folkestone and got a tough fly into a head wind.

Also all the organisations that raced on the Saturday had a tough race, the WDA & DC marked as booked on the Thursday with a 90% chance of a holdover which affected their birdage
