looks like Racing pigeons are classified as feral birds and looking numbers of Racing pigeons caught i believe the list to be true just the people taking numbers can't distinguish between racer and feral birds !!!!!! :emoticon-0179-headbang: :emoticon-0179-headbang: :emoticon-0179-headbang:

I suspect its a play on words; they can't be 'real' racing pigeons if they are found in peregrines nests, must be strays - ones that have gone feral. Its head in the sand stuff, folks in denial, refusing to believe the hard evidence they themselves collected - because it doesn't suit.

people have tried deterents transfers whistles etc, since birds of prey can smell i wonder if something along this line could work, but when they lock on they lock on.any thoughts lads.

Spoke to a man a while back and he said he used to help clear peregrine eyrie's after the breeding season and he gave up the job as he was totally disgusted with the carnage from one nest ,does the general public think BOP shop at Tesco :emoticon-0138-thinking:

red kites 130% rise since the introduction back into the uk

peregrine i would imagine are on a par with them except they have been breeding for 30 years and been protected since 1981

the rspb will be finished when the general public find out the truth sadly pigeon racing will be finished long before that

301 different birds killed and the RSPB aided by the Police etc, are Protecting the one's doing the killing, just about sums this country up these days.

Aye, yer right John. That's how it is in the UK now a days. There is no protection for victims, just look at the number o folk that's done away with thersels because the polis wouldny help them.
