strip down and spray with wd 40 will do the trick

bin! It will be a sealed unit Frank so nae cable probs if half is working! Have you had it in a trap where dust and sh** can accumulate?

Leave the WD40 alone it wont help. Just make sure its clean. Wipe the top wae meths if you really want to clean it but still nowt much you can do

Oh well John I stand corrected. When we clean sensors or other electronic equipment we use other agents. WD40 is a lubricant with certain barriers as regards water damage. It is a drying agent also so that may have helped you in Novos case!

i spoke to jim hannah today about the problem with franks ets pad and he said the exact same to give it a spray with wd40

The only thing I can think of is that it is dispering water as it is a degreaser of which there is none of in sensors! Not sayin it didny work but just surprised it was used in such a way! There are many uses for this military invention tho. Check this

frank if you cant fix it send it up to me,there are two coils copper wire one for each pad ,one may be broken or corroded, i repair tvs.and check ets for shu. cheers john thompson

Are the two field coils not covered in wax protection John? Have never been inside one but interested

the pads are an absolute rip off........

a clubmates went faulty bricon 6 feild £252 to replace or £75 plus p+p

all they consist of are copper wire coils like A.M. ariels.

i have seen lofts in belgium with antenna running around opening.

similar system used in radio controlled car racing and them fulkers do about 60mph over finishing line and record split seconds.

i think im going to make my own coil antenna as no rule not law says i cant as nothing has to be registerd?????????? cheeeeeeap as chips sorry they are a fking ripp off cheers unikon kon kon

Thats the master but are the other lads talkin about sensor antenae? The field on the left is your entry sensor correct?

the master is a sensor it has to pick up the chip at basketing.

there have been several incidents where master has pickrd up rings not actually been offered up to master but birds in basket in to close proximity about a 2 foot away .??????? FACT!!!

Ye I know that its a sensor was just wonderin wot the make up of the actual loft sensor was? I am on Tauris but would imagine they all similar? Do you think that the loft sensors are open to corrosion? I thought that they would have been waxed? Dont know if waxing would impare sensitivity of pad or even the waxing breaking down would cause probs? There was a post on another site for a unikon pad where two pads went faulty at same time after both been in a trap for four years!!!

all i can say is copper corrodes the quality and gauge will determine life expectancy along with dampness / humidity, and also wether pad is left in loft or taken out each week ..

bricon pads come with 2yr gtee but pads only get used for 6 mnth? also if you buy in closed season the less gtee you have.

I had this happen to me it was a dirty plug pin, between base and and pad blew it out all working fine now.

we had this problem a couple of years ago u buy a wee stopper thing plug it in the loose cable coming out the last pad it sends the energy back to the base station speicily if ur using a battery or genie
