Wildlife Petition - For Bops . . . . . !

There is an alleged "Wildlife Petition" doing the rounds that suggests that the Conservative Government is about to scrap Laws that protect Wildlife. The "Wildlife Laws" that DEFRA are considering scrapping are BOP Protection Laws, and the "38 degrees" that are pushing this "Petition" are - I believe - the RSPB.

They are asking everyone to vote AGAINST the scrapping of these Laws, so a vote for the petition is a vote for BOPs to remain protected. Anyone want BOP Protection to be kept for another 55 years??????? Just look at the damage it has done over the last half century. If the email lands in your server, dump it !

Well at last a glimmer of hope regarding BOP protection laws, I sincerely hope the RSPB don't scupper the proposal as that would be a miscarriage of justice and P.S., don't tell Roland it was a Tory proposal as he would be sure to blow a gasket

once again this is when we should be getting the RSPCA on our side, take all your damaged birds to them, they are as big if not bigger than the RSPB

Trouble is, the RSPCA and RSPB are bed fellows, bite one they both bleed.

This sounds awfy like a ruse by conservation groups to whip up public support against something IMO that is unlikely ever to happen i.e. the scrapping of the whole Act. The link below gives access to The Guardian Newspaper article, and from this its clear that 'this' has come from these campaigners, not the Government. The Guardian did not even go to Government for a comment on what was being said by these groups, and that leads me to believe its a wee bit of free advertising for the campaign and the petition.
