Roland Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 Don't let the owner know.... more grieve than it will ever be worth ... When it's gone, they will be worried enough and you will know.... far better than a confrontation.
lvlasked Posted April 17, 2011 Author Report Posted April 17, 2011 ijust got rid of it i have calmed down today and spoke to a few people over the phone and they gunno bring me a couple young birds down to make up for them oons i lost just a big blow as i have only started in the sport but ill get my head down and keep trying, advise i got a cock on 11day old eggs i think it is and an other pair just layed there first egg would it be ok to remove his eggs and put them under the other pair as his hen got killed or should i leave him to sit and hatch the eggs and rear them up ?
johnc Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 to big a gap im afraid, and the cock wont sit long without his hen
peterpau Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 Mate you can't swap the eggs unless they've been laid around three days apart.I dunno where you are but give the old birds a few days in the pen lock the doors. I'm sure people will be more than glad to help out.
lvlasked Posted April 17, 2011 Author Report Posted April 17, 2011 well i got a pair 2 other days maybe give them a egg each ? and they can feed 3 each ?? coz they layed with in a day apart
