It can be tricky to get them going for any length of time round the loft if they are being tossed.

The guys I've seen whos doos seem to go like the clappers round the doors give them very little training by road but you'll want to get them some tosses under their belt to get them started for the year??

Another thing I found with pigeons I had on roundabout for the first few races last season was that they flew better round the hut when they were only getting out once a day. Each to their own though :)

if there getting tossed i aint surprised there only doing 15 minutes

they where doing about 10 or 15 min around the hut before i started to take them away

as been said you can't have your cake an eat it , I usually let mine out for a half an hour then basket them then take them training , 2 tosses at 15 mile is ok if temp above 10 degree and wind not from north or east , otherwise it takes it out of them , imo your asking to much of them it's only early yet :)

Same with mine once weather got warmer hens would fly for 2 hours ,yet cocks when out would just continuously strike of ,yet they were usually first home .

Think with widowers or roundabout pigeons how well they fly round home depends on the feeding as well :)
