PATITION TO THE WEBMASTER

Hi webmaster i dont no who u are or were your from, but iv got something to say.

 

1. this site needs a clean up meaning delete all post with arguing and swearing and rumors in it.

 

2. like mike lycett wrote who are the moderaters, well to be truthfull i dont no who they are so may be a list at the top of the screen would help to say who the moderaters are.

 

3. may be i no some of the moderaters and if i do u aint doing your job properley.

 

4. sack all existing moderaters and get about 5 new 1's and they should delete or lock forums as soon as the 1st smell of trouble.

 

thats all i have to say any body that agrees to this please sign your name and hopfully the webmaster will take action.

100% agree some of the threads are very personal and just used to attack other fanciers

I Dont know about sacking the existing moderators but i would agree that there should be a lot of posts deleted that are out to cause trouble or any slagging that goes on in this website.

Locking the posts is no good as the fire is still there to be seen.

I didn't know who the mod's were till now so ta Tammy.  All in all I think a mod can only go so far and it seems the majority of the posts manage to turn into some sort of bickering so it would take an age to delete them all.  The site was great when I joined I know im not a regular poster but I do read up on here, being new to the sport its getting to be a case of who do I beleive as it is real living birds we are dealing with and I for one don't want them to suffer.  I for one think the mod's are doing a great job and shouldn't be given stick when they do lock or delete posts.

yes linda thanks and the mods list is wrong, in the last months we have deleted 35 topics 604 posts, reported 32 topics 638 posts, i think taking this its the members who are causing the bother who need sacked, and if u will have noticed when we do delet posts the agro we get etc, and the disgusting e-mails we get, there is one mod only been on for a week got disgusting e-mails already, and as u say we are limited to what we can do, and remember this is christmas day we mods like time off as well, many thanks linda

Mind no good locking ... other channels will be used ... And frankly  - though I draw a line at swearing / and slagging off at the other poster personally life or family, ( which I feel is not only in bad taste, and uncalled for) I believe that until a certain topic has run it's course, no moderlater / webmaster or anyone else will stop it. Sorry!

That is why I keep advocating that there be a 'Private Discussion' channel where a another pass word is neded to enter - after coming o to the site, so only thoses wanting to post etc. or be involved are! Those then that see an affront to some of hese posts won't have to see them, because they will be in another section. Then if a poster is warned as to his conduct and rfuses to take heed... then bar the P.C. addie so they can't get on.

They then go into Roly's Ring or whatever you wish to call it, or behave ...

And further if a poster deliberately agovates another, or chooses to post on the wider public sector to gain support - a quick warning -BANNED THEM straight off!

i will have to disagree there roland. it can be stopped, not being funny just look at pigeon chat, there is no way u can get away with any of what has gone on in this site thats because the mods are on the case all the time.

we mods only try to help the webmaster its not a loving job i can assure you or one which i or any of the mods would fight to keep, most of us would like to see the forum back to how it used to be, fun and about pigeons, we mods do not start the agro, u delete one then another report one then another, but they do not stop, we are limited to what we can do, and i for one will willingly welcome ace lofts on as a mod  to get the forum back to enjoyment, as i and most mods want, its not the mods that are using bad language etc its others, but hope we do get back to normal as thats what we want,

Hi Ace,I would just like to put a few points forward to your posting as i see it,1.Totally agree with this.2.At the end of the day does it really matter who the moderators are as long as they are doing the job that Richard as asked them to do,to me knowing who the moderators are is wrong anyway because as soon as they delete something they are open to abuse if the person who posted it doesn,t agree it should be removed.3.Under the present circumstances and by reading Fifers posting i think they are doing a good job.4.Cant see that sacking the present moderators is going to make a scrap of differance,but i do agree delete anything straight away that the mods,think shoudn,t be on the forum,AND ALSO TAKE MEMBERS OFF THE FORUM WHO CONTINUALLY SWEAR AND PUT POSTINGS UP THAT THE MODS DONT THINK SHOULD BE THERE PERHAPS FOR  A WEEK OR SO,THEN IF THEY CONTINUE IN THE SAME WAY TAKE UM OFF FOR GOOD.Probabley upset a few by my thoughts but thats how i see it.

everybody has a different opinion, personally I don?t think post should be locked at all or removing post with arguing in. where do you draw the line between arguing and a debate (then its left to a mod. than he get the stick for his actions. rightly so to lol). And if there dispute, say someone blames you off or whatever shouldn?t you have the right to put your side of the story. Some people like me are no good at debating with the pen comes across all wrong. But like some others on here can have a good argument/debate but not make it sound offensive (like the EYES WHAT DO YOU THINK thread).   :B Wish i paid more attention in my English lessons now.

I agree 100% Rose ...but the problem is that we all say this everyone agrees and then it all starts again ..... there is no sanction just lock people out the site for 2 weeks or delete them altogether. Protect the Mods too ...but the Mods should ALWAYS communicate

If the only reason they want to use this site is to turn every post into an argument I dont think there is any place here for them at all if that is what they want they can go on msn or wherever and run each other down to their hearts content without spoiling it for everyone else who has no interest in their problems with each other there is a time and place for everything and it isnt here
