alec guinness Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 nice wee article in this weeks racing pigeon page 22 from 1982 on G Pollock from Hamilton,i remember reading this article on this gentleman of the sport when it was first published,his good pied hen was 1st section 7th open snfc sartilly 82 with my good friends Martin & King shotts 2nd sec 8th open in the same race,George is also pictured in the same rp issue page 42 still active with the shu research committee.well done george. :) :)

George is still active and racing well and I judged at Strathhaven club show a couple of months ago and was made very welcome.

alex young Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 In the late sixties/early seventies we reported a pigeon to a Mr Pollock and his son Harvey who drove a lorry came down to Liverpool to collect it.He also gave us a couple of birds,this post just jogged my memory wonder if it's the same person?
