moderation how much and when

where mods can step in and take a post out just to keep a good thread going surely you agree

dovescot has already stated about banter that caused the webmaster to step in with a new set of rules and ban any  banter a year or so ago

because it got out of hand

maybe swapping the mods around a bit might let people see the other side

 

Maybe we could have a couple of mods chosen by the members :-/

Sorry mate..... and I am not going to keep on arguing with you.......... my argument is about people who use abuse language and try to belittle people who make a positive input. You have just admitted that you enjoy a bit of banter and the vast majority of us input a bit to lighten the discussion/ At the end of the day this is a HOBBY which we all love .... it's not The House of Commons

following the farce on bens bird for sale i feel that moderation has gone over top and is being used as selected means of getting to some members we see members aduseing others pm ing threats and not brought to book yet good honest fun stopped which i feel is keeping most members amused were does it stop well  abuseing mods online  causeing problems on sales threads is wrong as commishon given to site is lost if not sold abuseive words should be delt with and posters.  some mods as well as members abuse their position this should stop?one other thing unless poster of thread objects to others posting it should be left unless abuse or threats are given then locked thanks thats my view for what its worth

So a Russian buys your local football team and puts in all his staff and the supporters are not allowed to voice their opinions on the club forum about how the club is run :-/

You are right it was a mountain made out of a mole hill by banning harmless banter that was not offensive to anyone, yet to be told if anyone complained or just selected that one at random to edit :-/

Agree. At first bart I did not like what you were saying but now I agree. This just goes to show if you let a discussion run it's course then things can be learnt. If you remove it then it gets cloudy. I have only been involved in one thread that dissapeared ( the hand of god by vic ) now I responded, as it prodded me into action so to speak, but I was not abusive in any way. The next time I was on line it was AWAL and I wondered, was I out of order or was there a later post out of order ( still confused ) as to why it was removed. I think if a thread is removed then all people who have posted should be given reason for removal etc. Would'nt take long as mod would just copy/paste to all concerned and all parties would know why it was removed.

u can twist what pll are saying what ever u like  this is far from the mugabe government  i just think in 99,9% of cases it run right only little point id make is the sellers selling pigeons  that info is in a previous post in what i belive should happen afraid i wont be posting on this post anymore as i think posts are being taken out of context words being put in pll mouths and the truth of it is mods job is not easy rules are for a reason they were not put there to stop the banter i just think there's certain threads where a bit of banter is needed and when there not just takes a bit of common sense that all when to know when and when not too
