I use IE with no problems so far, how easy is it to change across to FireFox and do you lose any info that you have already store using IE

I wish I had seen this last night before Pigeondan had left as he is an IT expert and could have got him to change it for me and recovered any loss if it occurred:(

if u just click on firefox i think there is a link on this site it will ask u if u want to import everything from ie and if you wanna make firefox your default search engine hope this helps a little

There is, and also the same on Google Chrome, which I have just changed to and lost nothing

Although I use Google it still says internet explorer :-/

Firefox, Chrome and Opera have wizards to transfer your bookmarks, favourites, passwords.

 

They're all different though - as in the interface and how they work with the user. Best thing is to look at their websites, screen shots, etc and choose one that works for you.

 

Cant strongly advise enough to ditch Internet Explorer though

richard it looks to me that this is more to do with the sec of web sites rather than personal pc,s now iam no comp. expert and that is why i need to know for sure before trying to change it ive mucked my comp. for less than this all advice most welcome

You can do it through your start menu, all programms then install updates it works that way as well
