Guest bigda Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 thanks lads was on the cheeky water last night and into the early hours, glad someone miss me am getting very annoyed and glad at the same time for the Ayrshire lads getting A new truck. but what is annoying me more is the fact we ain't got at least 1 Geraldy for the Lanarkshire if we don't use it we should hire it out till we need it, a 90 basket== gives us £9000 a driver £300-£500 diesel to eastbourne £1,500giving us a profit on one race of £ 7,000 taking the Nat with us or any other fed or club that profit is more than we generate all year,

JohnQuinn Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 If we bought 1 Geraldy, which is all we can afford in today's market, who's pigeons are going in it and who's are going on our existing transporters?????????????
Guest bigda Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 If we bought 1 Geraldy, which is all we can afford in today's market, who's pigeons are going in it and who's are going on our existing transporters????????????? for the weeks we cant use it goes out on loan to others failing that it goes to the the first club on rotation till its fill that will still get you a profitjust say 90 bird basket£ 9,000 going to otterburn£300- driver £500 diesel £8,200 profiteach named club given 6 baskets the clubs that get missed that week get priority the nex week
Guest bigda Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 think there are 21 clubs in the fed you could all get 2 baskets eachevery week will no be any great loss the van going arround them all to pick the birds up as the profit ios good from the race then the clubs can run a raffle as to what members get there birds into the geraldyor draw lots for 6 baskets get 150 club members birds away each week. or 2 baskets 50birds 1 or 2 members every week
JohnQuinn Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 Disnae matter how you cut it Danny, it would cause trouble every week, and as for lending out a £100,00 worth of transporter to others who don't value it like the owners!! no way i would support that.
Guest bigda Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 a reckon if we used this for say 10 races, we would have at least£50,000 minimum profit, the first year, i would say nearer £70,000bigda as is, your transporter is payed for. if you want it done vote for bigda, give me the power to open the hand, and tease the purse outon your behalf bigda here for the under dog as is

The reality of the sums is, we pay HUNDREDS of pounds per race(lorry & driver), NOT THOUSANDS Danny. You'll need to get some correct figures before you make future plans.
