VMS Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 I have kept pigeons with vairying success for more than twenty years and now feel that i have a team of doo's ready to try and compete at national level. My father won the Dewar Trophy in 1980 and ive always said that this was the goal that i wished to achieve. Even if my goal is not achieved, surely just trying at the highest level in the land is what every doo man should be trying/.And that means SNFC, no substitue. Just ask anyone who has won SNRPC if they would swap it for a SNFC win, if their hounest i bet they would. So of you guys on this site hae to much time in your hands, to write so much piffle. Biggest load of piffle i have read in a long time.
budgie Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Many well known reputations have been made famous on Long Distance Racing and their will never be The End.What we need is all the part time politicians and club destroyers to shut up or chuck it .
BrianP Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 i must add that my fathers perfomances were won maily in SNFC backed up by superb federation results when the burdage were BIG in both organisations.
bigjamie Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 budgie is bang on thats what racing is all about distance flying without that the pigeon game would be down the tube its going that way at the moment but distance racing has to stay thats what its all about its nice to win club races but do well in nationals and your name is made
Rooster J. Cogburn Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Am I correct in saying that some Nationals on the continent take fees on a race by race basis??Meaning if you are a member of a governing body whos rules apply to the national you can take each race as it comes(if you have doos ready at the time etc)instead of paying a high one off subscription and maybe only going to one or two of the races
