ovy1255 Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 the weather here in england in the north east is white out with snow covering the area 6-8 inches deep the birds are just through the moult and most of us have reduced our birds for the winter but the breeding of our young birds will be underway shortly for 2011 race season-the early birds will be pairing their birds early in december.
Guest radouani Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 hello yes i know about the weather there, its colder than here, but here we don't have snow, just in mountains, most of the time its nice and sunny around the year,in this last years the weather became colder abit in winter.the birds are good with this weather.
Guest challengerlofts Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 Welcome to the site & enjoy.
ovy1255 Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 radouani how many lofts are in your club and what sort of system do you use to time your birds -in england a lot of pigeon fanciers are changing from manual clocks to ETS systems.but the price of corn for our birds seems to be getting too expensive.

Guest radouani Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 radouani how many lofts are in your club and what sort of system do you use to time your birds -in england a lot of pigeon fanciers are changing from manual clocks to ETS systems.but the price of corn for our birds seems to be getting too expensive.hello mr Ovy,in morocco there is about 60 Clubs of racing pigeons,in a national race the number of birds can arrive to 14000,the system we use to time our birds when the birds gets home, there is a secret number in its leg,so we call by phone an internet service to time the arrived bird, and in the same time we can see in internet those who timed there birds at time, and one by one,so you can see where we are,and after the club get that informations and with calculations of distances and cordinates , points ...of fanciers...then they can make out the general results .But this year there is a new system availabe in morocco like Tipes MC2100 but its expensive for many fanciers here,,so this year some fanciers will play with the new system and others with the classic system.yes here too the food for pigeons is getting too expensive. A warm welcome to you Radouani, well done on getting your first Diploma so quickly I'm sure there will be many more for you in futurethank you Mr John for your warm welcome and all m8,and thanks for your wishing, yes this year will be better

Guest radouani Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 here is some pics my birds and my simple loft.. i wanted to post some more but its says error upload max size 1mb...
ovy1255 Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 the bird looks to be in good condition thanks for the pics your loft front seems to be mesh probably because of the heat where in england our lofts are mostly boarded in.our new race season in uk will start in april to july for old birds and the young bird season follows on till september with a possible open race to finish off the season.our young birds are bred from january on as we get our rings early in january.the highlight of the closed season are various shows where allsorts of stuff for the pigeons can be bought off stands just like market stalls ,so the next show for me to attend is at doncaster where i will be buying some one drop, multi vits, and some nest felts .also for sale at these shows you can buy pigeons.the realy big show in england is at blackpool-HOMING WORLD SHOW OF THE YEAR a lot of people attend this show and stay in blackpool overnight as it is a 2 day event.what sort of events happen in morroco with the pigeons -where do you get your stock birds from -yours in sport terryblackpool show is late january
