OLDYELLOW Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 would that be racing roundabout mate?double widowhood
Tony C Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 Race your hens on w/hood for the first 6-8 races then pair them up for the longer races. There's good results to be had by hens in the early races especially if the weathers on the cold side.
tommyc Posted November 17, 2010 Author Report Posted November 17, 2010 cheers to all thanks for advice tommy
novo10 Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 cheers to all thanks for advice tommyput ur hens in the boxes m8 and race them on widowhood
alex young Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 Tommy an easy way to race your hens, have them in a section next to the cocks, exercise them twice a day out of their own section or train them daily back to their own section. When racing just let through to the cocks and on return let them trap to the cocks section, they will trap no bother as they have bred in that section before being separated. This works well for me.atb.
gulkie Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 hi pair 2 hens to 1 cock split a widowhood box in half, pair the 1St hen to the cocklet them hatch and rear a pair of young ,when young weaned split 1st pair for 1 weekthen pair 2nd hen to same cock, let them hatch and rear a pair of young when weaned ,thebox should have 2 entrances into the same box.start training the hens to the empty boxit is up to you if you show the cock on marking night or not ,lock them out of the boxwhen not at racing or training the partition should be removed when they start trainingand each hen should have its own perch outside its own half of the box .on race day put the cock in the box with doors closed. GOOD LUCK.the cocks should be in another section all weekuntil you need them wullie g
