dal2 Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 DAL2 I AGREE WITH YOU THAT FANCIERS WANT DIFFERENT RACES BUT WHY HAS IT TO BE A NATIONAL THEY HAVE THERE FED RACES BUT THE TRUE JIST IS THESE RACES IS BEING HELD IN EQUAL STATIS WITH FRENCH RACES ;;;;;; BUT WERE ALL BIG ENOUGH MEN TO SIT DOWN AND GET 1 B----Y RACE IN EQUAL TERMS AND THIS SHOULD BE WORKED OUT SO THAT THE GOLD CUP IS FLOWN FROM THE FAIREST RACE POINT AND IT JUST HAPPENS THAT THERE IS A WE BIT OF WATER IN ROUTE BUT WHAT IS A NATIONAL IF YOU DONT WANT TO SEND YOUR BIRDS TO THE FAIREST AND MAY BE HARDEST RACE POINT YOU WONT BE PUTTING THEM IN THE BUCKET FROM OSLO BUT ON THESE SITES PLENTY GOING IN BUCKET FROM 200 MILES BUT THE WAY THE SNFC IS GOING AT THE MOMENT DISTANCE RACING GOING DOWN THE TUBES WITH THE HELP OF A LOT OF FANCIERS NOT INTERESTED IN LONG DISTANCE RACING JMO Walter distance racin is not easy. Its not easy racin and its even harder tae breed a family. The SNFC caters for all,IMO, If you dont want to race the inland nats then dont. If you dont want to give the winner credit then dont. I think if you keep yer doos in a way that lends itself to 350miles racin then fair play and if you set yer doo up better than the rest then thats magic. If i want tae by young frae a middle distance racer with good results then I will the same if I wanted distance doos. The main bother in yer statments from my point of view is this Oslo stuff. I have put a bit of thought into this and can only conclude that its suicide!!. You say that there has been nae probs frae Ypres but in my mind and on the map there is a huge difference between Ypres and Oslo.JMO

We merely race our doos to the distance they have tae fly just like everybody else. As i have said if i raced 700miles then i would keep the pigeons to do that! I have every respect for the fliers like yourself that fly up to the north but please dont say that we are lesser men for settin our doos up for the win!. If it requires a 13hr fly tae the south then thats wot we are lookin for. If we race from 350miles then we are not lookin for the Gold cup contenders to be there we are lookin for somethin that we have set up special, thats pigeon racin for me the knoledge to know one from the other must be congratulated and at the end of the day no pigeon has won any big race oot of condition and unfit? Horses for courses againCheers Dal
Rooster J. Cogburn Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 I'd like to see the inland nationals dropped and more emphasis on Combine and Amalgamation racing from racepoints such as Leicester,Eastbourne and Bovingdon.Financially for the SNFC its a big no no mind you.

Who would want tae race wae us sprinters in the deep south!!!! .Aye a know. The whole position thing is a bit of a farse to be honest. Most folk cannae help where they stay,ae Stevie .Always somebody in a better loft location than somebody else regardless of the distance or racepoints.Credit should be given where its due.You can look at any result and pick out some of the performances of the race(not just the National winner)
