jonj1978 Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 what ive done is laid some breeze onto flat level land then laid 4x4 onto top of them making it a level area to lay the loft floor. making sure the timber is the right way to lay the floor spars onto. jon

The Navigator Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 You can also use railway sleepers which are a bit more hardy.
ChrisMaidment08 Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 blocks in cement then 4 4 timbers so terrier can get under
jonj1978 Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 i let my terrier go under mine no both from cats or rodents.. plus its about 5 ft off the floor..
paul10121968 Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 hello.mine is also a timber base on top of breeze blocks, its worth remembering if you do it this way its classed as a portable or tempory building and does not require planning permission.of course regulations vary in different areas.best to check first because they will only make you take it down if you breach the regulations in the area in which you live.sorry to put a dampner on things.
ALF Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 Breeze blocks and then sleepers on top of them ( my big loft is about 18in off the ground )
Roland Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 Yep, I once used Kerbs left handily near by on the road... Was told, which I fortunately did, to bolt through and secure the loft down on them. Left of course air ways, and wire meshed it so nowt got under bar air.
