david Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 I am not aware of prices for wheat but just got caught short of Barley .I am just back from my local HARBRO where they charged me £8.75 for a bag of whole barley. The same last year was £4.75 Things are bad, DAVID
ALF Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 £5 a 25kg bag from smillies just 5 mins fae me
Guest spin cycle Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 price of wheat in bulk is the equivalent of around £4/25kg bag... add on a pound for bagging...so £5 off farm is fair. typical retail adds 40-50 %...so £7-50 from supplier. the fact is you are often paying for the food to be moved around...hence the £8 plus

Hoping its much same when I renew them later this month.
