showman Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 as they are all falling apart around us I would like to think the cancellation of the Dunoon International Show wasn't looked upon as a case of it 'falling apart' Brian.
b.massey Posted September 30, 2010 Author Report Posted September 30, 2010 Was reffering to east o Scotland mate.. But as you say hopefully Dunoon will be back with us soon
showman Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 Was reffering to east o Scotland mate.. But as you say hopefully Dunoon will be back with us soon Sincerest best wishes for the show Brian; knowing how difficult things can be when organising such an event !!Cheers matePaul.
JohnQuinn Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 Thought i might as well throw ma tuppence worth in here seein as i support most of the big Shows and local shows every year First thing i would like to say is the feeling of winning a show class, doesn't resemble the feeling you get when you are 1st in a race, that of course is if you are a racing man. Whether a man enters show doos in a likeliest class is neither here nor there, it is what the judge fancies on the day that counts and no the doos entered against you and it would surprise you the number of TOP racing fanciers who can struggle to tell the difference between Show racers and REAL racers, thats a Fact. Secondly, if you are a racing man what difference does it make if you get a ticket or not, to my way of thinking it doesn't matter an iota what i'm beaten by, its a day out from the monotony of winter chores.BUT if your lucky enough to get the Red card in a show class, enjoy it because like racing there are always doos to beat you on any given Saturday. Lastly, if it means that much to you, go out and get some Show doos and try to compete on the same terms as those you are complaining about!!!! Its no life or DEATH

WulDon Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Brian, do you have a sale of gift birds/2011 YB's?
b.massey Posted October 23, 2010 Author Report Posted October 23, 2010 Brian, do you have a sale of gift birds/2011 YB's? We dont this year. Last years sale was not a sucess with top class birds going for pennies so was decided not to. However with forward thinking and use of internet I think next year we should look at sale again. Cheers
