andrecrock Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 Been thinking long and hard this weekend and think its time for ETS.... Wat are you boys and girls using..Unikon,Benzing,Bricon? Your in put will be much apreciated, dont want to wast alot of money.
No 1 Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 Ask Bigda, he's an expert on all make's. Unikon for me, I would say that, I'm an agent for them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Always have liked the idea of no connection's with the pocket clock. All makes have good and bad point's, go to a couple of demo's this winter and see what suits you.
slatey Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 unikon for me i have used most and for me unikon stands out a mile
just ask me Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 unikon for me i have used most and for me unikon stands out a mile can i ask why
LISTER Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 unikon so simple and works very well seen others and much prefer unikon
ALF Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 I've been using Unikon for the last 3 seasons very easy to use but if anything goes wrong with it like it did mine there may be trouble ahead :D :D ??) ??) ??) ??) ??)
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 have worked with Unikon, Tauris and Bricon (briefly) Unikon someone with the IQ of 39 could work it. Tauris has many benefits but the process is just a little more difficult when in race mode at the club, but with experience this not a problem and is just as quick. Bricon's main fault for me is that the hole for the leg to enter is at the same side as the screen so is a little awkward at club level when marker and checker at working at the same side of the table. All do the same job so get the one that your club mates have got as it makes the secretary's life that little bit easier. PS Just my opinion.
just ask me Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 when the pocket clock is out on race day lets say 10 birds are home and u decide to take out the pocket clock without puting pocket clock back in station can u see what birds are home hope this makes sence
Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 I have unikon ony started using 2 week ago really its simple to use and isnt as big as some of the other systems out there the pocket clock is a godsend JMO

Guest bakes Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 good thread been looking at different systems do like the benzing and the unikon like the sound of the wireless box so i can sit on my bench away from my loft and see what birds have been clocked in. all the best bakes.

PIGEON_MAN Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 Our club members all on Unikon system,i do like the idee of pocket clock. Pocket clock is very good but if you dont buy the set up that allready as one it will set you back another £190,equivalent in Bricon is £90, allways say to anyone thinking of buying a ETS system is to check what the rest of the club as and try and get the same because it makes everything that much easier.

PIGEON_MAN Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 I JUST GOT UNIKON 2 WEEK AGO USED IT YESTERDAY FOR MY CLUB RACE WHAT A GOOD THING IT IS AND DOES I WAS 1ST AND 2ND CLUB :) IT BROUGHT ME GOOD LOOK 2 SECONDS BEETWEEEN THM Probably been 1st and second if you hadnt of bought it unless the 3rd bird was only seconds behind you.Its not the Ets that won you the race the birds must of been bang on.
pearse1888 Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 i have bricon but there are better than them its down to you which one you find easiest to work for yourself
Guest neil Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 all do the same job-our club are on bricon-but the members who eventualy come round to using it are over the moon after using it for the first time last weekend i agree it must be easier all using same system to begin with but once we all get using it it matters little. like buying a car,it makes no difference what make it is as long as the boot is big enough for the baskets neil
