cemetary Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 what would be a fair rent for a loft on a farmers land. If a wiz the fermer and yi changed yir colours, you would git it FREE fae me, but joking aside, have yi spoke ti him aboot a price Pat,
Guest spin cycle Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 depends on what you're having...and on the farmer ....'happy go lucky type' £50.....but really upto £400 to be worth it. the trick is to decide how much it is worth to you or think of a figure at which he'll say 'yes'. good luck
greenlands Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 Cash or cheque ,that wil have him scratching his head.
geordie1234 Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 I didny think you could rent land of people for a loft what would happen if he decided he didny want you there anymore
JohnQuinn Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 I was qoted £100 per year about 18 YEARS ago, he would need to be your favourite uncle to let you the ground for £50. When i sat and thought about the practicality of having no Water or Electricty and you might have to humph bags of feeding across a wet field in January, i decided against it!! There is always the security side of it too, anybody could be sniffing around in the middle of the night, if i were you i would consider Everything before you enter into any agreement with the farmer
blaz Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 £50 TO A £100 A YEAR AS YOUR LOFT WONT TAKE MUCH ROOM AND THE LAND IT IS ON WON,T BRING MUCH CASH IN ANWAY.PLUS TELL HIM IT IS A HOBBY
airdrie2 Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 i wouldnt rent out part of a field for 50quid not worth the hassell and not worth writing up an agreement for 50
airdrie2 Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 are there not any council allotments still around remember as a boy my dad kept his doos in an allotment 30 plus lofts there great atmospher on a race day
WilliamJones Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 You want to be bloody sure this farmer doesn't hold shoots on his land or you're going to end up with a lot of swiss cheese pigeons! Is there no-where else you can put the loft? A farm is probably one of the worst places to have one unless it's within eyesight of your house (in the cold winter months you're going to hate lugging all your crap over to the loft... take it from someone who did it for 3 years and nearly quit because of it!)
