Yes, it was posted up at the time (Feb / March). It was interesting to watch again and my previous comment on it stands: pigeons must have a natural ability to avoid & survive predator attacks - how else would they know that the safest place was at sea level - any attack from above, at that level, and the attacker would end up in the drink.

wonder what the returns were like that was a bad liberation and the birds did not know where to go as you can see by all the circuling

personally i thought that a bird that was liberated 1st may have shot off home and been on his journey b4 others had left the ship..the liberation was over a few hundred yards.

unfair liberation to me.

 

but good footage all the same.

this was an off shore training toss and on the night over 500plus birds where seengoing up and down grand canary-wrong island -lots lost at that toss.

Agreed, It should be a stationary liberation.
