Guest chad3646 Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 Was at Ibrox today and have to say that the young lad playing for Rangers on loan from Arsenal is a truly class act stood out a mile ,also Douif had some fine touches and could have had a couple of goals wonder if he scores next week and reacts to brown in the same way as he was subject to what the reaction will be ?? there will be no reaction douif is a gentleman

sapper756 Posted February 22, 2011 Author Report Posted February 22, 2011 McCoist to take Rangers job Current assistant will succeed Walter Smith at end of the season http://img.skysports.com/10/10/800x600/McCoist_2512349.jpg Ally McCoist will succeed Rangers manager Walter Smith when he steps down at the end of the season, the club have revealed. McCoist has been assistant manager at Ibrox since returning with Smith in 2007 and has long been groomed for the full-time position with the Light Blues. The 48-year-old former Scotland striker has agreed a one-year rolling contract with the club and will have Kenny McDowall as his No.2. McCoist scored 355 goals in 581 games during a lengthy career as a player with Rangers and chief executive Martin Bain is delighted to give him the manager's job on a full-time basis. "We are delighted to confirm Ally as our next manager when Walter Smith steps down at the end of the season," Bain told the club's official website. "First and foremost Ally is a passionate Rangers supporter who has been a loyal servant to the club both as a player and more recently assistant manager. "He has contributed greatly to our success over the past four years and that is why we feel he is the right man to replace Walter." Bain revealed that McCoist has long been the club's preferred option to succeed Smith and says he agreed to step up in December last year. "When Ally joined Walter as his assistant in 2007 he was always being groomed as the next manager," he added.

jonl6280 Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 its been announced today because in the next few days the takeover will be confirmed.
Guest geordiejen Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 mc coist is a brave man taking on the job with the financial state of rangers right now.i think he might need to sell the likes of mcgregor and boughera to get some money to spend for next season.neil lennon had to do it with mcgeady and boruc.
Guest bigda Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 if he takes the job on, with no money he will have the fans turn on him if he don't produce, a very dangerous game for ally
Guest bigda Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 this will be davys last few weeks
