Guest neil Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 We all know lib line cost to us are 60p a minute but does anyone know how much of that 60p is payed back to organisations.Neil
sapper756 Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 I never use libline, I rely on updates here on pigeon basics, always well ahead of liblinehttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif and it's freehttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif
Guest IB Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Our libline rebate comes back to the Fed and I think it's about £200. I try not to ring it too often, and when I do I post it up here for others info., as its a lot cheaper getting info off a website than a premium rate telephone line.
PIGEON_MAN Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 As secretary of our club I get a call from the Fed.Sec.telling me when the birds are liberated,I then call everyone who as sent to give them the information costs them 10p.

JohnQuinn Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 I believe the Lib line to be beneficial to the organisation financially, and each one has its own reasons for needing the income from it, and it doesn't cost that much money. The pigeon sites have HALVED the income from the lib line service for almost everyone, this can only be negative in the long run. jmo.

Sorry John don't see why my members should pay an outside organisation to tell them lib time for a Fed / club they have paid fees to be a member of. I have never phoned lib line and never will for any club.
Guest neil Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 i was just thinking that if all members subscribe to the text service at say a fiver a year then the organisation would im certain make as much if not more than at present-25 racesx60p= £15 and with holdovers and updates i would thing it costs around £1.80 a race, multiply that by 25.just a thought(prob.read Joes in BHW and it was in the back of my mind as a good idea)Neil

Tenny Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Hi Tenny Whats the difference between paying you or the lib line as far as I can see it's now two organisors getting a cut  OK let me explain it to you in simple terms as you seem to have missed the whole point. The service offered is to fanciers with MOBILE PHONES hence the reason I would text them. Ringing the libline cost and absolute fortune off a mobile and many mobile networks bar 090 numbers! If you require a more in depth explanation or would require a breakdown of the mobile network costing on each network PM me your mobile number and I would be happy to TEXT you. If your not interested fair enough but theres no need to critisize my offer Ian is there ? Regards Tenny

Ian McKay Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 dinnae encourage him Welcome back how did the shopping go :D :D
Tenny Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 ame='Tenny' date=' 1 August 2010 - 18:31 PM' timestamp='1280683883' post='575371'] Hi Tenny Not critisizing you offer why can it not be done by the Fed or Club as they are first to know what is going on (or should be) I know some clubs give out as little info as possible so members have to keep phoning in CheersIan Thats exactly my point! Why keep things from the members . This thread asked earlier how much money goes back to the fed? Nobody seems to know. I ring about 12/15 fanciers every week when I know the birds are up. Nobody is happy with the libline sevice , costs, update frequency etc..My offer is for the fanciers who gets fed up ringing every hour. Just leave it to me and I TEXT them. not a bad offer for 40pence a week(based on 25races) Regards TENNY
