Guest homestead Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 A picture of my training trailer 18 panniers, 30 birds per basket and water down the middle
pjc Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 looks tidy, rather have twin axles for stability and more ventilation.
Guest homestead Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 When thought of it was single axle to keep the weight down but yes understood
pjc Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 make sure the total gvw isn't over 3500kg or you'll need a tacho
chris h Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 good looking trailer.there will be plenty ventilation once its moving.youll be lucky if that trailer was a ton in weight and thats full.
scottym7 Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Hi GuysAny trailer over 750kg requires brakes by law so it may be worth checking the weight laden and unladen. Scotty M
Guest bigda Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 so what your saying, a caravan needs brakes fitted or a free towing car lift
showman Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Hi GuysAny trailer over 750kg requires brakes by law so it may be worth checking the weight laden and unladen. Scotty M Was thinking the same thing...may need inertia brakes, also worth checking new legislation re: running/marker lights. Also think you need separate 3rd party insurance for trailer. Best to have it all sorted before commiting to the road. Only trying to help.
HOMER49 Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 make sure the total gvw isn't over 3500kg or you'll need a tacho HiAlso if the vehicle your pulling it with is insured in a company name you need a tacho fittedno matter the trailers weightCheersHomer 49
JohnQuinn Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Well you's have certainly ruined the good in this thread!! Enjoy your trailer mate and pay no attention to the weight or ventilation, its obvious there is enough ventilation in it, and who gives a toss about pigeon trailers' weight??
