hi need some help with a pigeon if possible,lost from clermont two weeks ago pigeons been reported at lerwick so its folwn near 1000 miles im in the newcastle so you can see the problem a pigeon fancier has it at present just need a little help trying to get it back south some way any help welcome cheers mick

Best bet is check liberations for lerwick and arrange to get it to main land with one of wagon drivers

hi redcheq hen your correct,i think hes going to try and get it south some way just checked the daft thing flew about 1000 miles must of been in 6th gear

The NRCC and YNRF have both flown Lerwick and I dont think there is any further races from the Island this year. Best hope would be to see if the NRCC are at Fraserburgh this weekend and see if you can get it sent across on the waggon for collection at Aberdeen.

Yes the bird is with me, I was just trying to figure out how far it had flown, must be 800 miles at least - it would be interesting to know when it arrived in Lerwick... this strain obviously has no brakes!!

As said check BHW for liberations from lerwick over weekend and arrange fer a driver to take it to main land / liberate closer to home or meet them on way back

Its NRCC Thurso this weekend i dont know the actual logistical situation between the top of Scotland and the Shetlands but getting the bird to the NRCC transporter would be the best bet you have i would think.

 

I have the phone number for the Convoyer Steve Spinks and also the Driver Merv Greatrix if something can be sorted out to get the bird to the convoy.
