Guest Alison Posted June 27, 2010 Report Posted June 27, 2010 A pigeon with dark blue, orange and green rings has arrived at my house in Walton on the Naze today. The green ring reads, I think, M54790 The bird is exhausted and has drunk a lot of the water I put out, but I am concerned cats will get it tonight and it seems reluctant or unable to move off the ground, although does not seem otherwise unwell. Any suggestions? My email is jubileebeach@googlemail.com phone 07774 98 88 78
billt Posted June 27, 2010 Report Posted June 27, 2010 Thanks Alison, if you can catch the bird and keep it in a safe place, I,m sure we will be able to contact a local fancier to collect the bird, Thank-You
Guest Alison Posted June 27, 2010 Report Posted June 27, 2010 "catching" it was more than easy - it walked straight into the recylcing bin I placed on its side. I have put a mesh and metal garden chair ove the top which will hopefully keep cats out. I have placed a bowl of water and a slice of bread inside.I would be grateful if someone could come and collect it.
