Ritchie i am not talking about the race controllers here, let me tell you this, this has to do with the race committee. no one else they have to take the blame here they sit back with all the perks, its there job to check out sites, weather thats what committees are for, the race controller controls the lib have you got that and the flight path on the day or next, so ask the committee when they had the meeting about the race was it on Wednesday as thats when it should have been OK, wish people on here would read the threads properly and get to understand the workings of there unions, race controllers have nothing to do with the birds un till on site the committee has to get them on site for a race only if the weather is going to be favorable and it was known it was not from Wednesday so its there falt

bigda not looking for anything other than telling you all as it is and who dose what job

If you knew the work/time/cost and grief from some people that some of the Committee members put in/up with you wouldn't or should I say shouldn't be so quick to slate them.

sorry you take the sympathetic view but there are no

arm twisting involved or Chinese torture and should they all do it from the kindness of there heart, then there should be nothing hidden and all the members would be kept up to speed and a new transporter would only be a formality now then.

Dont know who you are Bigda or is it Bigger Mouth but until you have served on the Committee of the SNFC you dont know the first thing about how it runs. You say a race committee should have delayed the basketing till Sat well this would have been impossible as the race dates were all decided at the AGM and as such cannot be altered willy nilly. It was the members who decided and if they want flexibility then that too will have to be passed at an AGM. Dont suppose you even have birds sitting in the Transporter at Eastbourne but I for one although not entirely happy with a holdover accept this as Jim Hannah and the rest of the controllers only have the Birds best interests at heart unlike some who only like the sound of their own voice or are addicted to the sounds of tapping keyboards. Maybe you should get yourself a Woodpecker.

Well Big Gub all I can say to that is you are one of two things,either on drugs or should be. Snfc was not at Yeps last year we were at Ypres. Yeps is what people like you do constantly.

Steady up Henrick mate. Fair enuff Bigda is a bit outspoken but tae claim he shouldnae have a view unless hes served on the national commitee is a bit OTT. Me doon here was disappointecd the doos didnae get up on both saturday and today as it was glorious here wae nae wind. So us sprinters in the south(spoke tae quite a few) were quite amazed after watchin the same forecasts as everybody else.Before we start wae it has ta be fair for all thensurely a midday lib would no be fair tae all either. JMO.

It is not the fact that he has not served on the Committee or the fact that he is not a National Member (as far as I am aware, correct me if I'm wrong), but he has come on an open Forum and made a claim that the Members of the said committee are sitting back and taking the perks! and I think this should be answered.

I,ve been on the National Committee and the only Perks are being allowed to spend all day marking doos and asking folk with selective deafness to lend a hand and then when you take a break you get to listen to all sorts of abuse from the same members who are still standing around doing nowt.

Me un my old boy help oot at every marking we can at Gretna un were no oan any committee. The same old prob always exsists that the some fanciers will never lend a hand but will critisise at every opurtunity. Thats been the same since Moses was a boy(according tae ma Dad who was aboot at that time). If yer gan tae put yer hand up and volunteer for seats on a committee then be prepared for flack FACT.
