sapper756 Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Well it has finally been confirmed that Lennon has got the Celtic managers job, as a Celtic fan I am not convinced he is the best man for the job, he is more a No2 in my opinionhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif But only time will tellhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif

sapper756 Posted June 8, 2010 Author Report Posted June 8, 2010 who would be your choice as no1 ? Personally, I would have liked to have seen a person with a proven track record and a great deal of experience behind them, however, I will have to give Lennon time to prove himself worthy of the rolehttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif
Guest spin cycle Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 c'mon sapper....celtic fans must have an idea who they'd like

Guest spin cycle Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Larsson is currently managing a 2nd division Sweedish team blimey he'd cost less than lambert
Guest WINGS 04 Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 we will just have to see how he gets on he will not have much to beat when the season starts he has showin that he can get them playing for him
Roland Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 Celtic cannae afford a real manager ... gosh who's dreaming Then again let's get real here, what GOOD proven manager would go there when they could probably get to manage a bottom league, or even an English conference league side? They'd have to be brain dead, and as such wouldn't have the sense to be a good manager so ....

JohnQuinn Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 What about all the TOP SCOTTISH managers down South, what have you got to say about them? How many of your own country men are actually managing in the premiership at present? C'mon Roland where's your answer? Fact is almost EVERY English team who have dominated the league in the last 50 tears has had a Scotsman, either at the helm or who started the team off. Busby, Shankly, Geo Graham, King Kenny, Alex Ferguson the list goes on
kirky cowboy Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 lennon will dae awright but a think they should ave put big billy mcneil beside him instead of baxter.imo
bibendium Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 As a Killie supporter with no manager now or anyone on the horizon, I think N Lennon is the wrong choice for a club like Celtic, I feel celtic arnt showing very much ambition with his appointment,
kirky cowboy Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 a think tony mowbray still on the go take him if you dare.
bibendium Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 a think tony mowbray still on the go take him if you dare. dont think we are that desperate.
frank-123 Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 lennon will dae awright but a think they should ave put big billy mcneil beside him instead of baxter.imo on a one year contract that says it all about the appointment of neil lennon
JohnQuinn Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 on a one year contract that says it all about the appointment of neil lennon Have to say it would be reckless to give him any more than that. I'm sure he accepts that its a probationary period, i mean its no every day a rookie gets to manage a team/club the size of Celtic.
kirky cowboy Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 it,s no the size of the contract m8 it,s whit he does within that year.
JohnQuinn Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 it,s no the size of the contract m8 it,s whit he does within that year. 100% correct
frank-123 Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 do you think trapatoni would yet a year contract
retired Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 on a one year contract that says it all about the appointment of neil lennon John Barnes Mark 2
JohnQuinn Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 do you think trapatoni would yet a year contract No, he's got experience, he probably has to negotiate it down the way
