Guest spin cycle Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 just seen a junior wind up clock on ebay. i've no exp. other than stb and all our club use stb....so my question.... is it a printing clock that we can set/use alongside our stbs or would i need a data printer ?
Guest triballofts Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 hi no you dont need a data printer for this clock it has a roll inside like an stb regards Graham
greenlands Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 It's a printing clock mate, used mine for a lot of years till it let me down,to make it worse it was my own fault,I'd put the ribbon on the wrong way round and a thread got among the print time rollers stopping the clock.Sorted it and it still works a treat.I wouldn't expect to pay a lot of money for one if I was buying.Lindsay.
Guest spin cycle Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 thanks ....i guess the rolls/ink are not same as stb...so i'll have to factor that in... would boddy & ridewood have them ?

greenlands Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 got the clock home but...how do i open it See Pic above. To the left of the thimble appature there is a small lever, push the square metal block in(the seal string goes through it)and push the lever to the left, the clock should now open.Lindsay.
Guest spin cycle Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 the 'flap ' that would have the seal...moves freely on the shaft...looks like its missing a pin ?...can i open it by turning the shaft anti-clockwise ?
greenlands Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 the 'flap ' that would have the seal...moves freely on the shaft...looks like its missing a pin ?...can i open it by turning the shaft anti-clockwise ?On the Picture below and to the right of the left hand side of the handle the piece that's shiney that's the part you push in,the lever will then move anti-clockwise allowing the clock to be opened.Libndsay
