Junior Wind Up Clock

just seen a junior wind up clock on ebay. i've no exp. other than stb and all our club use stb....so my question.... is it a printing clock that we can set/use alongside our stbs or would i need a data printer ?

hi no you dont need a data printer for this clock it has a roll inside like an stb regards Graham

It's a printing clock mate,used mine for a lot of years till it let me down,to make it worse it was my own fault,I'd put the ribbon on the wrong way round and a thread got among the print time rollers stopping the clock.Sorted it and it still works a treat.I wouldn't expect to pay a lot of money for one if I was buying.

:) thanks ....i guess the rolls/ink are not same as stb...so i'll have to factor that in... would boddy & ridewood have them ?

Here they are mate,I've put a pound coin beside them so you can get an idea of the size.

blimey the rolls are tiny...does it print 'clock' style like stb...if so better get some glasses :D

dont even go there-get a stb honest if my memory serves me right you need a tool to read the print out-my wind up is in the house loft best place for it.where are you from and will you pay carrage on a wind up stb as i am sure i have one down the club that you can have long time since i seen the thimbles -or if you want i have a t3 that i got off my mate in belgium it was used untill plunger spring broke will need same plus a battery its yours if you want it free but you pay postage.

thanks for the kind offer but i'm ok. i've an stb....i'm really looking for a cheap 2nd clock....and i fancy something a little different....besides i'm 'winning' at the moment :rolleyes:

i'm no the 'proud' owner of a junior wind up clock...housed in a t3 case....for the princely sum of £16... :rolleyes:

See Pic above.To the left of the thimble appature there is a small lever,push the square metal block in(the seal string goes through it)and push the lever to the left,the clock should now open.

the 'flap ' that would have the seal...moves freely on the shaft...looks like its missing a pin ?...can i open it by turning the shaft anti-clockwise ?

On the Picture below and to the right of the left hand side of the handle the piece that's shiney that's the part you push in,the lever will then move anti-clockwise allowing the clock to be opened.
