sapper756 Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE SHU ARE HAVING A STRAY CENTRE, AND IF SO WHEN DOES IT BEGIN?
sapper756 Posted July 27, 2006 Author Report Posted July 27, 2006 CHEERS, DOES THAT MEAN WE TAKE ANY STRAYS WE HAVE TO OUR CLUBS THIS WEEK?
Henrik Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 Stray Centre opens this week so any strays go un the Stray basket at your club
Guest Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 Haven't seen written advice yet, but previous years Stray Centre has always started the week AFTER the first race. So if you start racing this weekend [like us], first stray collection is next week, Friday 4th August. Won't be able to confirm till tomorrow night though. Also not sure how the avian flu restrictions fit in with this either.
Guest WINGS 04 Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 it stats on the 28th as we have been told by or fed we started 2 weeks a go
JADE Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 The stray centre is open from this weekend - definite
cheq pied Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 i have written advice from the SHU the stray centre opens this weekend. Please remember any GB nehu pigeons etc. can only be processed if the have the name of a club or federation wingstamped onto them.
paul l Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 what happens to birds at stray center then anyone explane many thanks paul
Henrik Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 Birds that go to the Stray Centre are separated into Federations which are then picked up by the Feds and distributed to the Clubs. Costs you about a fiver to get a youngster home instead of £23 with Amtrak.
sapper756 Posted July 28, 2006 Author Report Posted July 28, 2006 EVERY WEEK DURING THE YOUNG BIRD SEASON
paul l Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 thats good then but why do people still use amtrack if they can get it as littel as a fiver
Tony Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 That is a good idea is only the shu doing this at the moment. Tony.
