Guest Posted August 19, 2006 Report Posted August 19, 2006 Paul, When you talk to your neighbours, take some information with you about racing pigeons, you can even print off some stuff from Pigeon Basics. A lot of people are not familiar with the sport. You must also explain to them that your pigeons are kept in a clean healthy enviroment and are kept under control, that is to say they will not be left flying round the neighbourhood all day or sitting on their roofs or crapping in their gardens, except of course when you are settling young birds. Invite them round once you get started to watch the birds come in from a race, a few burgers and drinks will go down well and hopefully get them on your side.
Guest shadow Posted August 19, 2006 Report Posted August 19, 2006 IF ITS A PRIVATE HOUSE BETTER LOOK AT THE DEEDS. This is realy important because most deeds say you are not allowed to keep poutry etc and that includes pigeons unfortunately. You only need one neighbour to object and they can cause all sorts of problems you don't need. So check either side of your house and also any that back onto your property .Good luck
