NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS GETTING BIRDS COLLECTED BY AMTRAK UNTIL THIS WEEK .I PHONED THE BELLSHILL DEPOT ON MONDAY MORNING TO GET 3 YOUNG BIRDS PICKED UP FROM PIGGY AND GAVE ALL OUR DETAILS AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD BE PICKED UP THAT AFTERNOON NO PROBLEM MMMMMMMMMMMMM!!! STU'S WIFE PHONED ME THIS MORNING TO SAY THAT AMTRAK STILL HAD'NT PICKED UP THE BIRDS SO I CALLED THE LOCAL DEPOT AT 11 O'CLOCK THIS MORNING AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD LOOK INTO WHAT HAD HAPPENNED ANS CALL ME BACK FINISHED WORK AT 2 O'CLOCK AND STILL NO WORD FROM THEM SO DROVE TO THEIR DEPOT IN BELLSHILL ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT THEY ONLY DEAL IN G POST CODES NOW AND DONT PICK UP ML3(LANARKSHIRE) BIRDS AND IT HAD BEEN SUBBED OUT TO ANOTHER COMPANY UP THE ROAD SO WENT TO THEIR DEPOT TO BE TOLD THAT THEY COULD'NT FIND ANY DETAILS OF THE BIRDS???? SO ANOTHER CALL TO STU'S WIFE TO LET HER KNOW WHAT HAD HAPPENNED AND TO SAY THAT I WAS GOING TO TRY AND ARRANGE FOR PICK UP TOMMORROW ;) 10 MINS LATER SHE PHONED ME BACK TO SAY THAT THE GUY FROM AMTRAK WAS THERE AT HER HOUSE COLLECTING THE BIRDS AT 6.45PM TONIGHT SO I THANKED HER FOR LETTING ME KNOW AND CALLED THE BELLSHILL MOB AND THEY DID'NT KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON????????

 

MAYBE I SHOULD SAY A WEE PRAYER TO MAKE SURE THEY ARRIVE TOMMORROW I KNOW THEY WERE PICKED UP BUT WILL THEY ARRIVE HERE??? WATCH THIS SPACE ;)

sent 2 birds off with amtrak last night at 6.00pm

new owner recieved them at 9.00am this morning

us personally have never had a problem with them but obviously some fanciers have

sent for a pigeon yesterday,guess what,they never picked it up,they said they run out of time but never bothered to ring me,waited in till12 before i rung them to find out.

phone amtrack today [wednesday] they apologised for a mistake that had been made on there behalf ,,,and said  "the birds will DEFINATELY BE PICKED UP THURSDAY FOR A FRIDAY DELIVERY"  SO PM,D SENDER,  EXPLAINED EVERING SORTED OUT,AND THEIR DEFINATELY GETTING PICKED UP THURS FOR A FRID DELIVERY,,,,,,,, :-/ :-/,REPLY BACK , ;D,,,,,,,THE BIRDS HAVE ALLREADY BEEN PICKED UP TODAY AND ARE ON THEIR WAY :-/ :-/ :-/FOR THURSDAY DELIVERY,,,,DO THEY SUPPLY ASPIRINS AS WELL ;D ;D ;D

Had 2 birds collected from archie (the fifer) still nowt as yet :-/ fingers crossed, last 2 experiences of amtrak have been poor to say the least will post later,

Have a mate of mine who drives artics for Royal Mail, he said there is a driver(pigeon flyer) who is based at Parcel Force's National sort centre in Coventry has approached some high up bod to ask if they are keen to take up this business, apparently the Post Office are all out for extra business, I think he is waiting for a reply at the moment.

amtrak turned up bout 30 mins ago with my 2 boxes taped together, they left with neighbour as i had 2 nip out for 20 mins :o :o 2 boxes only 1 bird > > phoned amtrak, said thats all that was there for them when they collected this morning!! he gave me head office number 01922 744474, was put on hold then got hung up on, in the claims department, the guy at the depot kept goin on about his £23.32, said im not paying it, what a joke!! as it happened i was gifted these birds by archie, but i told amtrak i paid £100, and the guy said you got 1 did nt you?? so we want paying, cant print waht i said, now they say they wont deliver anymore birds to me until i pay > >

PIGEONPETE WAS THERE MUCH DROPPINGS IN THE EMPTY BOX, THIS WOULD GIVE AN IDEA IF THE BIRD WAS IN THE BOX FOR LONG, THEY WERE CLEAN SHAVINGS IN IT.

Would scare me schouwman71 ... If I paid a fiver or more I'd fetch it / them... Cost of 4-5 gallon fuel for Amtrax delivery... so I'd drive down and fetch it / them.

:-/ :-/  upto yet my local depot have been spot on with coll/del im waiting for 3 to be delivered 2 day touch wood!!!!!! my only bad experiance was they asked me 2 take 1 for a guy 10miles from me as it was friday and he was away. spoke with owner on phone and he was to be home monday i (*expletive removed* paid for it n dropped it to 1 of the lads i know in his club) guess what still never got my money over 2 years ago, that wont happen again   > > > > >  n hes gonna be sorry when i see him > > >

still no word from my end archie, what a suprise, there was a tail feather in the empty box with blood in the quill, looks like it has been pulled trying to stop it escaping shavings quite dirty but, not as dirty as the box with the cock in, so my guess would be it got out about half way ish here, :-/ , bet we never find out just keep passing the book, when i told them it cost £100, they havent phoned me again asking for payment, wonder why :X

I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM MY END ITHER BUT WILL PHONE AGAIN TODA, I HAVE QUITE A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH THIS END AND HAD NO PROBLEMS, SO GOING BY THE DROPPINGS IT HAS HAPPEND FURTHER DOWN THE LINE, AS I DO BELIEVE IF IT HAD HAPPEND THIS END THEY WOULD HAVE LET ME KNOW, ALSO THE BIRD WOULD HAVE COME HOME, AS THEIR DEPOT IS ONLY 7MLS AWAY, MAYBE IT WILL GO INTO SOMEONE, I WILL LOOK MY BOOK AND GET FULL RING NUMBER AND POST IT, HOPE U LIKE THE COCK,
