mealybar Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 I've just got a message through that one of my clubmates loft has been the victim to an arson attack. All of Alan Claydon and Wayne McKenna's young birds hens have been lost, and I'm told they've only 7 cocks, and some stock left. At 2:30 am last night the allotment next door was set alight and this spread to their lofts. Needless to say I'm gutted for these lads, they really put their heart and soul into their pigeons, and have had some cracking turns. If anyone has any information on the attack please contact Hartlepool Police.
andyb Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 no info but thats not surprising as i live in cornwall. only keep 10 pigeons myself but have a few contacts if they need any pigeons
ALF Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 I HATE PEOPLE WHO BREAK INTO OTHER PEOPLES LOFTS AND BURN THEM DOWN OR KILL ALL THEIR BIRDS THEIR THE SCUM OF THE EARTH > > >
Wiley Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 maybe on her we could hold a auction possibly to raise some funds for a new loft or pigeons for them??
Beanz Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 Its a damn shame but unfortunately its a sign of the times when kids have no respect for other peoples property and when they are caught their parents say they are good kids who just had a lapse of character. The courts of course do nothing only slap their hands give them community service and let them go to do it all again, when murderers and rapists are getting light sentences do we honestly think that the courts are going to bother about a loft full of pigeons. Somebody needs to get the ball rolling up their in Hartlepool so these boys can be returned to the sport ASAP.
mealybar Posted October 1, 2006 Author Report Posted October 1, 2006 I've been trying to get hold of my dad since I heard about what happened (I'm away from home and my birds), I hope to have some latebreds to put up on here to raise a few bob to help the lads, they helped me by breeding me birds when I started up, the least I can do is repay the favour. If anyone has any latebreds, etc that they would like to kindly donate please let me know and I'll put a sale together.

Roland Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 I feel instaed of Brding for an Auction, a pair here and there would be better... they wil e able to race next seasons y / b's and sort the wheat from the shaft as to what suits them. Am certain that the calibre would be superb. Beanz Kids eh!! So you know that… or just casting aspersions?
Beanz Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 I gave all my latebreds to a bloke in Bournemouth who was just starting up again, kept 2 back one went off the loft and the other I have just promised to a sale for Piper Hill special school, but would gladly give a pair of 2007 youngsters for a sale or to the lads themselves if they want them. Pick of the loft.

Guest Paulo Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 if you are doing an auction I'll put this bird in for it with full pedigree. As it is nestmate to one of the others I bred so can afford to do with out it. Just let me know if you do have an auction and you want the bird. Its a herman beaverdam direct and a fine looking young bird. Gebr Janssen. i would offer a few more lots but don't have pedigrees for my busschaerts.
Guest Paulo Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 "i bred '' I wish I mean I bought when I was hammered at the auction lol
