STRIKE by Gem Supplements..what does this cure?
andyb replied to bluebar99's topic in Products & Medication
contact brian wall at gem. not only is he a good fancier he is genuine and 100% honest. personally i have not used it but that does not mean it is no good. brian will tell you all about it withouy trying to baffle you with science -
so long as they are well watered , fed and bathed it really makes no difference to the pigeons. have tried both ways and still find they take the same time to come into form when you need it.
-
far too many yb's bred. breed only as many as you have the time to look after PROPERLY. twenty years ago it was unheard of to breed above 30 young birds but they were well trained and the fancier could look after them
-
no info but thats not surprising as i live in cornwall. only keep 10 pigeons myself but have a few contacts if they need any pigeons
-
i,m another who had injections when i was younger. not nice and can have serious side effects. if you cannot enjoy your pigeons without it then pack up
-
so long as the birds are healthy get them in a basket it beats all the theories
-
anyone here fly to allotments. i'm hoping to get one for next season as i only have room for a 6x4 shed at home which i am currently flying to

dont think it will ever be equal but do believe that the more you put in the more you get out

i had a similar problem and cured it through feeding. dont be afraid to miss the odd feed and have them very hungry when they go out. once you have them in the habit of trapping straight back you can increase the feed a little at a time and they should not get the habit back. my own golden rule is that anything not in the loft within 20 seconds of landing goes without food. they soon learn

t certainly was in blackpool and i believe we both judged that year. the pigeon crack that night was top class and from memory i believe you actually slept with jimmy! i vaguely remember my wife being evacuated and having to come in the bar for me to let her back in the room.....she is now my ex!! haven't won the lottery yet but if i do you'll see me there. hope the family gets everything they deserve from this once in a lifetime sale

i think things will be back to normal after the winter. if the french wont have us then i'm sure the belgians will and that would certainly give me some distance!
-
paratyphoid is a biggie i'm afraid and theres only one cure that i knoe of. however i would try and get them looked at by an experienced fancier if i were you
-
sstarted with 10 and have five left. 2 lost training 2 from 75mile race and one off loft after it had been raced. have to admit to being a little confused at why so many are bred
-
totally agree with gay mealy but we are talking about money being no object so lets have something nice to look at
-
nah! name it after it's rescuer...SWEEP! good to hear its out though
-
i had this problem a few years back and it was squirrels. only one way to cure them i'm afraid.....and they do love peanuts
-
i only met Jimmy the once and it was a night i shall never forget. what a superb pigeon man and if i win the lottery before the sale i,ll buy the lot
-
i f money were no problem i would go for a double decker in brick. bottom floor for stock and storage with the top deck to race to. tiled roof and a large viewing platform. mind you i currently race to 6x 4 shed and do ok but space and money are at a premium

ventilation is the main thing. if you can keep it dry and fresh doesn't matter what it is built from
-
got to admit i would be more than happy with the conventional method. but for me its a case of move with the times and allow me to compete or lose me
-
bring it on! i have not been able to clock from a single race this season because of work. i seriously need some insperation or a new hobby
-
when i used them it was gold line but they sold the business so i really dont know where to go now. i did trial them quite extensively though and had pigeons fed 100%pellets winning on a far more regular basis than those on corn. pm me for more in depth
-
totally agree. there are some very expensive mixes and if it were that simple we would all be winning. i remember visiting a mnfc winner and the only things in his hopper were large beans and barley. the same fanciers were also topping there fed with 4,000 pigeons on a regular basis. they gifted me pigeons as a return for a favour and i won instantly with them. the best season i had though was feeding pellets 100% whab i was asked to trial them
