Tony C Posted August 23, 2006 Author Report Posted August 23, 2006 New Transfer Forms Over the coming months you will see a difference to the transfer form recording system. Presently you are required to write your transfers on a triplicate form. We keep the white form after processing and the yellow and pink forms are sent out to new and previous owners in stamped addressed envelopes provided by the new owner. In order that we can utilise the RPRA computer system and other technology to its best efficiency we will be dispensing with the triplicate forms. That will in part go some way to addressing the problem about size of envelopes mentioned above as you will now only need to send in one A4 sized sheet with the cost of the transfer. In return the new owner and old owner will get an A4 sheet back which looks very similar to the new stray report. In the fullness of time I hope that the cost of postage will be included as part of the charge instead of having to send in 2 SAEs but I am restricted to what we can do by the rules of the RPRA which state that SAEs must be sent in with transfers. I want to be able to utilise our office equipment to its best ability and that will mean having the return transfer forms inserted into the envelope by machine and then franked. Currently I have at least 2 staff stuffing transfers into the SAEs when in truth they could be better employed on other tasks. So there are efficiency savings to be made here. The new transfer form is available on the RPRA website under downloads and you can start using them as and when you wish. We will shortly run out of the triplicate forms here at the Reddings so you will start to receive the new A4 transfer forms in the post.
