Guest anthony Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 The first race was 2 weeks ago, happy to say I won the race.Last week I clocked 8 birds in just 2 minutes but there was already 30 birds, 8 minutes before me,To day a little longer distance, from what I heard on the VHF radio I have a good time but I still have to go to the club,so I cant tell

Guest anthony Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 Thank you all.I fly with No 19 club, have 90 members and average of 500 birds every race,it is very hard here, hence great satisfaction.

Guest speckled Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 ;D Well done Anthony, good flying mate, all the best Speck
Guest anthony Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 Thanks again friends. I will give you my humble results for the last years. Pozzallo 100 klm.7x1st,3x2nd,several times under 10th place to 20th Belveder 155klm 5x1st,4x2nd,several times under 10 th place to 20th Reggio 270klm 3x1st,3x2nd,4x3rd several times under 10 to 20 th Catanzaro 390 klm 2x1st, several times 10th to 20th Metapunto 540 klm 3x1st,2x2nd 1x7th Brindisi 620 klm 2x1st 1x2nd,1x3rd Manfredonia 660 klm 3x1st,1xnd 5xunder 10th Average to all these races is 450birds that is club birdage. For fedaration it has to be 6000 birdage. Here no matter where you live makes no difference for the results,I live at the very end of the island, which is more difficult for me to compete in the federation level, especialy short distance.long distance is a different story. For us short distance are,Pozzallo,Belveder, and Reggio.Catanzaro and Metapunto are middle distance and Brindisi and Manfredonia are the long one.The system we use is the first in the clock wins,no matter the age or the sex of the bird.Sometimes they organize a race from Rome, last one I placed 14th and 17th.The price for every race difer, but if we say 2 sterlings every race as an average,we are not far
Guest CS Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 Good results mate, what strain do you fly? Anthony
Guest anthony Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 Good results mate, what strain do you fly? Anthony I have been flying the same birds for 10 years,if you ask me they are Janseen,I answere yes,but they are not janseens,if you name another family name, probably it is there. What I mean is that after all these years I cant say that they belong to someone who live thousands of miles away from here!Sorry to disapoint you but that is what Ibelieve.I allways put to stock my best in that racing season, and to be kept there, thier offsprings have to at least beat my own birds in races, sort of biulding not demolish
