maverick Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 mite send a yb off the nest pair that won last year ;D ;D :P :o :K) DONT THINK YOU CAN ASK FOR BETTER ALREADY PROVEN IN THIS KIND OF RACE,
johno Posted January 6, 2007 Author Report Posted January 6, 2007 how much is the entry fee per bird.
Guest Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Was it not 2004 that the Lanarkshire boys won it and one of the English stud lofts won 2005 but ia,m not sure who won last year was it another Lanarkshire loft? But i dont think they paid out more than £10,000 since 2005 big drop in the money yet the birdage was stated as the same as the year before!
johno Posted January 7, 2007 Author Report Posted January 7, 2007 frankdooman are you sure you are not mistaken. it does not add up that the same number of birds went as did so in 2005 yet the prize money for first was less than half that of 2005. doostalker you are a main player in scotland pigeon trust can you enlighten us on the situation. would it be possible to guide us to some of the income and expenditure records of scottish pigeon trust. it is after all raisng funds through pigeon fanciers. i am sure providing this information would be an excellent way of encouraging more p[eople to enter. as it is no one knows even what the entry fee is.
Guest Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 johno iam sure because i won it in 2003 and i entered in 2004 but lost all 3 at the first toss 5mls they lost 210 birds at that one when i spoke to the loft manager that night he told me they only got less than 100 back on the day that is why i stoped sending to it along with the fact that the money was down and i couldnt get any information when i entered in 2003/2004 the birdage was 360 or there abouts that was what they said the birdage was 2005/2006 so something doesnt add up
andy Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 I THINK YOU,LL FIND IT WOULD,VE ADDED UP IF MOST OF THE PIGEONS HADN,T BEEN LOST AT THE START WHICH STOPS ACTIVATION OF SECOND AND THIRD CHOICE PIGEONS WHICH DOUBLES OR TREBLES THE INCOME AND PRIZE MONEY.........THE SAME THING HAPPENED AT THE RAY KNIGHT CHANNEL CHALLENGE IN 2006.
Guest Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 good point andy but the scottish race all your birds are activated from the start
johno Posted January 7, 2007 Author Report Posted January 7, 2007 sounds as though something is not adding up here. doostalker was on this site promoting the scottish pigeon trust dunoon show. you seem to be a main player doostalker can you provide the answer from the horses mouth as it were as you appear to have your finger on the pulse here.
GREENGRASS Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 can i ask where all the money goes, what are the good causes, etc any info anyone.......
Guest Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 It is strange that the first one loft race in Britain (Scottish) is more than halved the prize money for first place and all the rest have doubled or trebled in some cases.
rockinrick Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 come on you gotta admit no matter who ya are that it was funny.. Your just wishing it was you that posted it.. Ed ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D yea it was funny birdman lmao
johno Posted January 8, 2007 Author Report Posted January 8, 2007 interesting point frankdooman and green grass. doostalker is as ihave previously said a main player. i am sure he will provide us with the information about how much money is raised and what good causes the money goes to. after all between the dunoon show and the one loft set up the scottish pigeon trust raise substantial funds from fanciers all over europe. providing the information being askrd for would be an ideal public relations exercise for the www.scottishpigeontrust.com
Guest Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 no word about the race yet johno why does that not surprise me thats the ans. i got when i asked certain questions did you check out the bit on the web site where it gave the names of the winners and their winnings quote (BIG CHEQUE) i would think if you were wanting to promote the race it would have 1st= £25,000 not BIG CHEQUE!
johno Posted January 9, 2007 Author Report Posted January 9, 2007 strange frankdooman when the doostalker was promoting the dunoon show he could find his way to the posting forum with great ease. it would appear that there is no one available as yet to answer the questions posed on this thread. makes one think. another poor show.
Guest Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 well johno if their is no info coming out i think i will just send to the R.P.R.A. one loft better chance of getting them to the final race and some serious money
V1JSL Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 I Think the RPRA One loft race might be full now guys, the places when't really quick. I just made it i beleive 2 weeks ago.
HOMER49 Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 interesting point frankdooman and green grass. doostalker is as ihave previously said a main player. i am sure he will provide us with the information about how much money is raised and what good causes the money goes to. after all between the dunoon show and the one loft set up the scottish pigeon trust raise substantial funds from fanciers all over europe. providing the information being askrd for would be an ideal public relations exercise for the www.scottishpigeontrust.com Hi Homer knows where thousands of pounds went of SPT money A printer in Hamilton for producing a booklet on the sport in Scotland and johno you ken who I mean Cheers Homer 49
Guest Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 do you have proof of that homer i was led to belive that all that money came from the shu was not the trust Have you seen their bal/sheet trust that is?
johno Posted January 10, 2007 Author Report Posted January 10, 2007 homer you seem to ken a lot. thousands of pounds. how many thousands of pounds. and exactly when. unfortunately you never produce the goods when questioned. it is easy to prove frankdooman and myself wrong. a copy of the last five years accounts would be the ideal way to do it. what is the problem with making the accounts available for public consumption. where is the doostalker. he seems to have removed himself from the board. the idea that a few well meant people run the scottish pigeon trust in the best interests of the fancy has passed along with the Berlin wall. what is the problem with making all information regarding the scottish pigeon trust available to the pigeon fancy who have been responsible for providing the funding.
johno Posted January 10, 2007 Author Report Posted January 10, 2007 as of 08.21 this morning scottish pigeon trust web site is still showing two expected first prize amounts. one says £10000 and the other says £20000, what are we to conclude. last year the first prize was £10000. this year nothing has changed yet the management team seem to think they should hedge their bets. if the book you refer was as informative as the web site sales would not heve been what they might have been. what say you on this one homer.
Guest Doostalker Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Some points in response to your comments: 1. Doostalker has not taken himself off the site, I simply have not had the time to be on recently, 2. Doostalker has nothing to do with the one loft race. The show and the race are two separate entities, as a cursory examination of SPT website will show, 3. Doostalker is not a Trustee and is only involved in the Dunoon Show, 4. I have to say that I think this is an attempt to rake over old coals with regard to the Trust, and I am not going to get involved in it. If you have questions to put to the Trust contact them through their website and put the questions direct to them. Conversely contact George Kelly or Sam McFadzean at their stand at the Blackpool Show and speak to them there. I am sure they will be more than happy to enter into a mature and friendly debate with you on any issue you raise. I know Frankdooman (Frank Baillie) and Green Grass (Karl Kelly) and they know that I have no interest in getting involved in any of the mud slinging that seems to go on in Scotland around this time every year. Race or Show your pigeons and let others do the same, and treat people with the respect you expect to get yourself. This is the last comment from Doostalker on the subject......mainly because I am not involved in the one loft race!
johno Posted January 10, 2007 Author Report Posted January 10, 2007 thanks doostalker for your information. this still leaves us with the situation of no access to information. have tried asking via the web site contact. no response on a good few occasions. will not be at blackpool. will continue to ask on this forum. no answer or response speaks for itself it wisnae me.
GREENGRASS Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 doostalker (terry marwick) where have i flung mud at you or mentioned your name or anything to do with you on here, little paranioa maybe. or was the point of your post to tell people on here who frankdooman and i were, shame then that most already knew. you mention that george kelly and sam mcfadzean will be at blackpool will they be there in their capacity as trustees or for the greater good of the sport ;D ;D.
Guest Doostalker Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Karl I think the paranoia is not on my side. I neither accused you nor Frank of any mud slinging. You construed that yourself. I made no reference to our first contact via the chat line either. What I am saying is that I have spoken with both you and Frank and you both know that I do not have any truck with the arguments which beset our sport. Anything I do, I do because i want to put something into the sport. If I may be so bold as to say that I have some skills which I use, hopefully to benefit other fanciers and the sport in general. I also enjoy it, although there are times when that enjoyment is a very thin veneer. I have no hidden agendas nor have I any partisan affiliations. I mentioned your names so that you know I know you. It was a sign of recognition and respect; nothing more. Messrs Kelly and McFadzean will be at Blackpool in whatever capacity they see themselves; and whichever capacity you may perceive them to hold. Would it be that some common ground would allow you all to perceive each other in a more tolerant light. By the way Karl, could you note the spelling of my name. You dropped a K!! You are not the only one to have two K's in your name!!!!! Terry Markwick PS How did the remaining youngster do for you??
