Who knows the exact cost of the T3 service and how old does the clock have to be before the service is due.

How old is your clock as i believe they need to be done when they are about 5 years old,a guy in our club had one which was only 2 years old and the battery sign was flashing but linnels told him not to worry as it didn,t need changing yet,it,s still the same now and as never been a problem, mind you if it was me i think i would want it looked at.

put forward the date untill it flashes then you will now when it needs a service

I don’t actually have a T3 but I am thinking about buying one and wondered what the service cost would be, I saw one on the Belgian Ebay and the starting price was about £90 in our money but no bidders. It was described as two years old and serviced so this made my wonder how soon they needed a service. The T3 seems a costly clock to maintain so I might just stick to my STB but thanks for the information.

Hi Tam

Had my 1999  T3  (7 years old) serviced by Colin Surtees  Jan 06

Triangle had been flashing since June 05 so 6 years with battery

Colin charged £65.00 I dil it to Blackpool and was returned to me foc

The service was carried out by Junior themselfs or so the label says

LINNELL was doing A full service and new battery last year for £ 47.50 including new cam for 5 years thats not bad my stb used to cost me that a year from the shu man in Bo,ness

Yes they where doing a offer last year I missed it and had to pay £85.

I think there will be a lot of cheap clocks about when ETS takes off.

I sent my spare T3 to a pigeonbasics member getting back into the sport this week.

Talking of cheap t3 i was going to part exchange my t3x 3 for 3xt3 s new style although my clocks are not that old, linnels only offered me £60.00 for each clock against the new clocks, so reading between the lines i think linnels are expecting a lot of cheap t3s on the market when ets takes off

poeople may hype the price of t3 service but its still cheaper than any other clock if it was even £90 for 5years that seams like good value to me after all how much will it cost if ets breaks down or the need to update thease things like all computers are obsolete as soon as there out let alone the constant cost of rings say 50 rings at £1.50 thats £75.00 and you havent even got a year out of it and what about next year and next

£ 90 over 5 years = £18.00 per year can you get better than that? i dont think so

I think i am right in saying the T3 is the only new clock you can buy now except for the ets system so if anything the servicing will probably get dearer, personally i wouldn,t advise anyone to buy a new clock, save your pennies for the ets when the rpra decide to bring it in,thats if you want it of course.

DONT KNOW ABOUT THE COST GETTING DEARER TONY I THINK IT HAS NEARLY HALFED IN PRICE IN THE LAST FEW YEARS TO GET YOUR T3 SERVICED NOW ;)
