Hi knowledgeable forum fanciers,

                                                A fancier friend of mine from Barnsley has just suffered a hawk attack and has asked me where can the very large garden owls be bought.  Any suggestions please. ?

Any country sports store that sells decoys should be able to sort you out with a plastic one

Should warn you that ornamental owls have been used for some time up here and I'm not too sure that they are as an effective deterrant as playing the eagle owl CD seems to be;

Train my birds East of Edinburgh's Waverley station. Huge feral flocks of pigeons nest under the bridges at Abbeyhill just up the road from the Parly building. One houseowner obviously takes exception to them cos he's got an eagle owl ornament on one corner of his flat roof, nearest the railway. Not the first time I've seen a feral perched on top of the owl's head.  :)

just a suggestion colud you not play the cd with the owl as an extra deterant if they can see an owl as well as hearing it maybe that would help as well

I saw something I have never seen before, wouldn't of thought it would actually happen, but then thinking on I see the logic, and why not.

Was going past some allotments when I saw a Sparow Hawk  fly up. In it's claws was a Worm. So I suppose they eat when and whatever when te oppertunity arises.
