We will train my old birds as soon as possible... there still plenty of time to train old birds, last year my old birds had 4 tosses before 1st race, and they done very well if they are flying well around the house.... Top BICC distance flyer. No training for us till April then straight to 15 miles for maybe 6 chucks before the first race. 10 miles would be eneough for sprinters. Guest Posted March 18, 2007 Report Share Posted March 18, 2007 I never train my widowers more than a week before the first race in the middle of april sometimes get no training just lifted into first race as long as they are working at home. carl Posted March 18, 2007 Report Share Posted March 18, 2007 I have had six chucks with the oldbirds 3 from 10 miles and 3 from 20 miles,this week i will have 3 from 30 miles,the week before the first race i will have 3 from 50 miles then into the race...
