Latest time for Young birds

As a matter of interest, whats the latest people will have young birds in the nest for racing the youngbird season.

In 2005 I raced two young birds from late July that chipped out on April 21st, they did OK aswell.

young birds just started to hatch yesterday 1st apr

1ts April and anything after that is not taken for racing, 16 weeks old when start racing is the youngest ones

I was told that a latebred is a youngster hatched after 1st May, anything hatched before that should be old enough to race.
