another amtrak failure

We had birds picked up yesterday and glad to say both arrived after 9 this morning, both were fine. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

sent 2 birds to scotland yesterday arrived today safe and sound. we are lucky as amtrax driver is a pigeon fancier.

had problems b4 with them , but have to say the last few times they were great, [the same driver] i think the problem is ,,they have it all their own way,, a little competition ,[ a cheaper one at that ] would do them no harm  :-/

Not being funny but i have sent out probaly 1000 or more boxs with Amtrak in 18 months and never once a problem!!! As i have said before, get to know your driver and alway get the post code correct!!!!!

When are people going to realise it would be ok if you are dealing with one person, but somewhere along the line of Amtrak's sysem theres a breakdown, whether it be human or technical, we should be entitled to a service that they offer and which we pay for, not too much to ask for

 

Did they have the post code.......picked up from south wales, two day's later arrived at local depot im Kircaldy....one excuse did not have address.......DA...did they send them to fife scotland just by chance

This may not be the right post place but I sent three consignments out with Amtrak 25/04/07 only one has replied JASON thanks for the acknowledgement of confirmation of delivery.I have also asked for a pick up from Grantham will have to wait till tomorrow (Friday) to find out. But have to admit I have found them to be efficient.

last night i also got a call from a flier in carluke who saw the trouble i was having and he told me he has been trying to get birds picked up with amtrak for 3 weeks from birds off pigeonpete, they have had one disaster after another, he said they actually turned up for the birds on a day they were not asked to, then they said they had no knowledge of the birds, how could they go and pick them up on the wrong day if they had no knowledge !! what i am planning to do this morning is contact the shu and ask if they cannot source a  courier who would maybe be interested in moving birds, cant do any harm to ask them to look on behalf of fanciers, the biggest disaster was when interlink stopped carrying birds because they were the best service i ever saw, never knew of anybody having a problem with them, though i dare say no service is perfect

1)Phone my local branch and place the order!!!

2)Phone the branch local to the collection/deliver and check they have recieved the fax.

3)Get a pack of blank labels from driver and write out the label and stick it on the box before they are collected!!!

That's great, and agree with you but "if only it was that easy". Maybe because you are sending out such a high volume "to me anyway" then Amtrack want to keep your business sweet

 

Gess what.....Amtrak picked up two boxes for delivery to me yesterday, arrived at the Doncaster hub last night at 21.15, I called the local depot this morning 08.45  "aye there's pigeons here for you" phone call 10.40 "sorry we only have one box the other is still at Doncaster hud"

 

"this happened to me before so I told the local depot that I was not a happy chappie and was going to contact quality control"

Guess what they are being couriered from Doncaster and will hopefully arrive this afternoon :-/ :-/ :-/

had birds delivered via amtrak last week 2 ybs bought on pb sale no problems........... Telephoned on tuesday for collection wednesday delivered thursday before 12, although had problems before with late deiveries.

WELL SHARRON FINALLY GOT HER TWO YOUNG BIRDS TODAY AND ONLY AFTER ANOTHER SHAMBLES OF A CARRY ON, MAYBE SHE WILL EXPLAIN THE THEATRICALS SHE HAD TO GO THROUGH TO GET HER BIRDS , NOT DELIVERED BY THE WAY ,SHE HAD TO GO TO A WAREHOUSE AND PICK THEM UP HERSELF

Second box arrived tonight at 22.15 by private courier..... guess what one bird short,

Private courier doesn't know how they survive as this is common with Amtrack including their parcel service

He's happy, they keep him in regular work..... 334miles each way with 4 birds!!!!!, pity it was not 5 :'( :'( :'(
