a lot of people were not happy,i went on ringer so that made 2 ringers going at that point could have been more,ets ringing took time.had to wait for transporter to come with more baskets like the man says it was a joke!!!!!

yes it is rose, a lot quicker and ur clocks get done along with ur birds going through, so no waiting for ur birds getting marked then ur clock getting set, also non ets clocks have to be set at club level before marking ets is a lot quicker and done all in one clock and birds through together,

IN THE LONG RUN IT WILL BE , AT THE MOMENT WE STILL PUT A RACE RUBBER ON ETS DOO'S ,JUST AS A SAFE GUARD,SO AT THIS TIME IT ISNT ANY QUICKER

There is a unikon software update which is taking a little while to download to members clocks at 'first' marking; it is also apparent that with more fanciers using ets, there is now a need for at least 2 unikon stations going at marking instead of the current 1.

 

Was at Boness from 3.30pm till about 9pm continuous on 'rubber marking' ; 9pm -9.45pm on ets marking ; 945pm till 1030pm loading our baskets to Midlothian transporter, and transhipping into it from Central transporter out of Novar.

 

A few folk seem to work flat out at marking stations, others seem happier to do sod-all while others are happiest when complaining.

 

Something approaching 7000 birds away ... one hiccup should be seen for what it is - tic-turd.

Not sure if i would be happy using it on any of the big races until i knew what i was doing would hate to mess it up with anyones birds we were marking

 

THATS THE GOOD PPOINT ABOUT ETS ROSE YOU JUST PRESENT THE PIGEON TO THE BASE STATION AND IT TELLS YOU THE RING NUMBER OF THE BIRD YOU HAVE IN YOUR HAND SO YOU CANT REALLY MAKE A MISTAKE WITH IT

sounds good idea and lot easier just wasnt sure how it would work say with our nationals down here would they have to registed the rings with that clubs secretary

 

ROSE  THE DOO'S YOU ARE RACING IN THE SEASON HAVE TO BE PROGRAMMED INTO YOUR ETS SYSTEM AT THE START OF THE SEASON.

AND GO TO THE MARKING STATION "THIMMMNNYYBBOOOB "AND WATCH DOUGIE BALD MAKING SURE ETS IS WORKING OKAY    AND   THEN WATCH AS THEY PUT A RUBBER ON THE DOO'S LEG AND THEN WATCH AS THE SHEET MARKER HAS TO WRITE DOWN WHICH BASKET EVERY DOO GOES IN .

THAT IS WHY IT TAKES LONGER MARKING DOO'S FOR THE SNFC RACES COMPARED TO CLUB RACES

Hi

I am in agreement that ETS it is the way forward but when they update the system just before National racing I cannot accept that. It held every station up. I will be asking the SHU and the SNFC to get a guarantee from DEISTER that this will not happen again. There should be NO updates after the racing season starts. The SNFC were told the we would get the birds colour installed for the 2007 season Deister has let us down this is a problem the SHU must address after all other manufacturers have this available

Deister must issue a proper instruction manual as they have in America with all information on the error codes and such.

As to the rubber fiasco the SNFC were told it would hold the marking stations up.

I predict this will be abandoned. I hope so. You either want ETS or rubbers NOT both.

The other problem I have had to contend with is the ETS not matching the SHU ring details this is because Clubs are NOT checking the complete SHU ring number.
