Guest TAMMY_1 Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 FROM A FRIEND THERE WHO WAS WATCHING FOR ME They got the birds away just in time tam, another hour and it would have been touch and go! The Scottish National birds were liberated first and as you can see from the attached photo's the way was clear north of the sight and the birds cleared within two minutes except for a bunch of about 50 birds that took over ten minutes to clear. As soon as they leave the site they are across the Medway River and the mouth of the Thames. Visability north was about ten miles plus and the leading birds made straight for the north with a light southerly wind behind them. The Lanarkshire Fed birds were even quicker clearing, but again a small bunch of about thirty birds took longer but all but a few stragglers were clear of the site when I left ten minutes later. You should have a good race unless they hit heavy rain on the way up country. It is now raining here in Maidstone , a light drizzle moving in from the south. Hope you have a good race,
