Guest Greig the doo Drysdale Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 I am thinking of starting a stray pigeon service during the racing season collecting pigeons from as far down as Newcastle and delivering as far as Dundee would anyone be interested in this service? I would als take birds from Dundee to newcastle. I am looking at a cost of £10.00 for the first bird in your name and £5.00 for every other pigeon in your name that is collected at the same time? Excample Mr Smith has 3 birds making a total cost to him £20.00

Guest Greig the doo Drysdale Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 as I have not had a lot of posative feed back from the members I dont think I am going to bother with this delivery/collection service. Thanks to the members that were up for useing this service but I am sorry it wont be going ahead people must prefer to pay £30.00 to amtrak or they dont loose pigeons (that would be right). once again sorry to the members who were going to use this service. > >
Guest Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 :odidnt give it much of a chance pal ?? try sending a questionare to feds and clubs in youre area , and make a decision on the feedback . .. stay posotive , and it may happen for ya ;D andy
Guest Greig the doo Drysdale Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 I am going to do it for the clubs in my area if they want it to happen but by the ooks of it not any people on here would use it there have been over 100 ppl on here with pigeons since the post went on and only 5 or so for it to me it is a non starter for the members of pigeon basics doesnt make good maths (% wise)
cowly7 Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 Would you be covering the west of Scotland as well Greig?
DOVEScot Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 Give it a chance, When I started in business I made nothing the first year with only a £4000 turnover, the second year £28000 and the third year staying clear of the vat man, I have seen businesses that have boom and bust You have to tackle the rough edges before you get it smooth Once people realise you mean business and can deliver I am sure you you will be happy with the responce, I think personally there's a market for your services Good luck
Guest Greig the doo Drysdale Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 What i was planning on doing is having collectrion points I stay in west lothian so I would goto A point in Glasgow upto dundee down to Edinburgh and then down to Newcastle. I feel that at this cheap price along with sportsmanship if you had a stray you could meet me at a sertain pick up point and give me the strays or even birds you sell to someone in one of the offer metioned areas and I would take over from there. And hopefully someone will do the same for you ;D ;D Excample Mr Smith has 3 birds in the Glasgow area and 1 in dundee I would colect his birds on Monday moring with all the other bird reported to the owner and myelf costing him £30.00 I would get to Newcastle and get in contact with the owners hand over the birds and bring back the birds for this area on the tuesday deliver to the afore mentioned area and then the same the following Monday. Maybe someone from further a field would take over any birds from further than my boundery and start the bussiness for other areas.
